Before coming to Weatherly Inn, Andrea Peterson managed the office of her husband’s construction company. At one point, he was framing Assisted Living Facilities, and she asked him, “What is an Assisted Living Facility?” Little did she know of the career in assisted living she would have in her future! Andrea was first hired in 2013 as the Administrative Assistant at the front desk. Her warm and friendly smile was an immediate welcome addition to our team. Then, in 2015, she was promoted to Human Resources Coordinator where she gained hands-on experience in hiring, on-boarding, training, and mentoring staff across all departments. In 2021, Andrea was again promoted and this time, to the General Manager position, overseeing all day-to-day operations at our Weatherly Inn flagship community in Tacoma. Andrea enjoys the connections that are made with both residents and staff—ones she makes herself and those she facilitates amongst others. She finds each day unique from the day before, and no moment is ever dull. Andrea was born and raised in Seattle and now calls Federal Way, WA, home. She has fun playing with her dogs and tries to keep tabs with a tracking device on her cat who roams five miles a day!

Monica Richardson was born in Romania and moved to the United States when she was two years old. She was raised in Alaska then made her way down to the lower forty-eight to attend Pacific Lutheran University here in Tacoma, WA, where she earned her degree in Communications and Sociology. Monica was hired as one of our Community Relations Directors (CRD) at Weatherly Inn Tacoma in 2017 and was promoted to also be our Social Media Director in 2021. She is the one behind our Facebook and Instagram accounts. As the most senior CRD on staff, she is a very knowledgeable mentor and resource for the CRDs at all our communities. Monica loves the creative freedom the Weatherly allows; when she has new ideas, they are well received and genuinely supported. Her favorite responsibility is spearheading the White Christmas Market every year which everyone, residents and staff alike, looks forward to, and it is well attended by the Tacoma community at large. Monica brings Berkeley, her English Cocker Spaniel, to work on Saturdays which everyone, residents and staff alike, looks forward to as well! He is the “Weekend Greeter” and performs his “job” with passionate wiggles like only a dog can. Monica and he make a dynamic duo.

Gretta Fryar was born and raised right here in Kent, WA, and then headed over the mountains to Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, to earn her degree in Biology and Ecology. She came to us in 2023 and immediately assumed the role of being one of our Community Relations Directors at Weatherly Inn Tacoma where she welcomes prospective residents and their families, tours them throughout our community, and answers any questions they may have about what it is like to live at Weatherly Inn. In addition, she helps plan special events and does outreach in the local community to keep Weatherly Inn at the top of mind. She loves working in the creative and collaborative environment, of which Weatherly Inn is known for, and finds working alongside her colleagues has pushed her to grow and gain new skills. Outside of work, she enjoys DIY crafting (Fall décor is her favorite), reading, and walking. And in 2024, she married her sailor, Logan (a US Navy serviceman)!

Stacie Carbullido, LPN, was born in Arizona and raised in Washington. She attended Clover Park High School near here in Lakewood and Clover Park Technical College, also in Lakewood, where she first earned her Nursing Assistant Certificate. Then she also graduated from their Practical Nursing Program and became a licensed practical nurse (LPN). Stacie is no stranger to Weatherly Inn as she was first hired as a caregiver from 1999 to 2001, then as a nurse from 2013 to 2018, and now, since 2019, as our Weatherly Inn Tacoma Memory Care Director. As director, Stacie oversees all care in Memory Care by managing the nurses and helping the Staffing Coordinator manage the caregivers. They work hard together and solve issues together to make sure residents receive the best care possible. She says she loves working in Memory Care because every day is a new day. She never has a chance to get bored as they always keep her on her toes! When not directing her team at work, Stacie enjoys traveling, crafting, and trying new foods (as long as they aren’t too spicy). She loves celebrating birthdays and holidays by decorating and gift-giving. She also likes being funny and laughing at her own jokes!

Cami Buckwitz, LPN, was born in Utah, raised in Montana (which she calls home), and now lives in Washington (where all her family is located). She graduated from high school in Moses Lake, WA, and earned her Practical Nursing Certificate at the University of Montana’s Helena College of Technology. Cami came on staff in 2023 as our Weatherly Inn Tacoma Assisted Living Director where she oversees everything that goes on at the Wellness Center and is central to making assessments, writing care plans, and communicating with residents, families, and healthcare providers. Stories are what she loves the most about Weatherly Inn! Stories of residents’ lives, stories they tell, and stories they are continuing to live. She has an interesting story, too, of having parents who were ballroom dance instructors for Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Seattle and of being able to dance and sing herself as well. She also lives a well-rounded life of camping, fishing, and road-tripping with her husband.
